Mission Statement
Our Mission is to provide a comprehensive emergency management system which coordinates people and resources to protect the lives, property and environment of Johnson County using an all hazards approach through mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery from disasters and emergencies. We hope that you will find this site helpful and that you will find information here that is useful to you and your family.
Monthly tests are conducted for the Outdoor Warning Sirens the first Monday of each month at the current 3 locations at 12:00 p.m. There are 3 locations for sirens in Johnson County - Paintsville Fire Department (Main Street), Foothills Communications (Staffordsville), and at the Johnson County Senior Citizens Center (King Addition).
